WATER FALLS, BIRD AND ANIMAL LIFE, REVEREND JIM JONES, GUYANA, SOUTH AMERICA.
Guyana is the only English speaking country in South America. Its neighbours are Brazil(Portuguese), Venezuela(Spanish) and Suriname(Dutch).
The Giant anteater, Myrmecophaga tridactyla, is the largest species of anteater. It is found in Central and South America. It is the only species in the Myrmecophaga genus. It is a solitary animal, found in many habitats, including grasslands, deciduous forests and rainforests. The ant eater roams the savannahs of southern Guyana. It feeds mainly on ants and termites, sometimes up to 30,000 insects in a single day.
Toucans are tropical forest birds known for their ludicrously large and strikingly colored bills, and Guyana has nine species of the birds, including the smaller Aracaris and Toucanets.

Jaguar is the largest cat found in the Americas. In Guyana we have five other wild cats. They are : Cougar or Puma, Jaguanindi, Ocelot, Margay and the Oncilla. Jaguars are opportunistic, solitary, hunters feeding on just about anything they can catch!. This list includes: Agouti, Deer, wild Pigs and other medium sized mammals. Jaguars are able to crack open a Turtle's shell with their powerful jaws. They are also excellent swimmers and climbers. The presence of a Jaguar is a sign of a healthy rainforest ecosystem.
LARGEST FRESHWATER FISH- THE ARAPAIMA
A British biologist and his team successfully captured a giant 18ft anaconda while working in Guyana. Neil McCann, 29, from Cardiff, spotted the huge reptile while they were working at the Rewa River in Guyana. The rather scary snake weighed about 100kg and had a 27in girth, according to The Sun. Neil, an avid adventurer who's rowed the Atlantic and trekked across Greenland's Polar Ice Cap, said he had always dreamed of handling an anaconda. 'I'd always dreamed of seeing an anaconda and I knew that our work in Gcondauyana would give us a real possibility of seeing one.' Neil said the animal kept trying to bite him as they were trying to get hold of it, adding: 'Its strength was amazing and when a ripple went through its body it shook all of us.'

HARPY EAGLE OF SOUTH AMERICA
The Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja), sometimes known as the American Harpy Eagle, is a Neotropical species of eagle. It is the largest and most powerful raptor found in the Americas, and among the largest extant species of eagles in the world. It usually inhabits tropical lowland rainforests in the upper (emergent) canopy layer. Destruction of its natural habitat has seen it vanish from many parts of its former range, and it is almost extinct in Central America. There a few thousand Harpy Eagles remaing in the wild in Guyana.
THE KAITEUR FALLS -
Kaieteur Falls is a high-volume waterfall on the Potaro River in central Guyana, Potaro-Siparuni region. It is located in Kaieteur National Park. It is 226 meters (741 ft) high when measured from its plunge over a sandstone and conglomerate cliff to the first break. It then flows over a series of steep cascades that, when included in the measurements, bring the total height to 251 meters (822 ft). While many falls have greater height, few have the combination of height and water volume. This has given Kaieteur Falls the misleading label of "largest single drop" waterfall in the world which is often misinterpreted as "tallest single drop." However, it is likely one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world
